| Biography: Daniel Bernardini joined the band in 2001. Daniel became drum corporal and is currently the Drum Major. He started playing drums at a very young age and he feels DHB has helped him grow as a person. As Drum Major it is Daniel’s job to make sure the uniform is worn correctly, to lead the band with commands drill, and to make sure the overall appearance and behavior of the band is professional. These duties have helped Daniel become a responsible USM student who is an Honors Program scholar with good grades. | ||||||

| Biography: A lifelong trombonist, Lucas always wanted to learn the bagpipes to get in touch with his heritage. Finally at age 19 he made the plunge when he met Allan Muir who offered to teach him. After three years of off and on practice in college, Lucas committed more time to mastering the pipes and joined the Dunlap Highland Band. 2011 marks his first season. | ||||||

| Biography: Bob joined the band in 2005 after moving to Old Orchard Beach from Massachusetts where he retired as the principal of Gardner High School in Gardner, MA. He was previously the Pipe Sergeant of the Scots Highland Pipes and Drums located in Ashby, MA. Bob was appointed Pipe Corporal of the Dunlap Highland Band in 2008 and was given the title of Pipe Sergeant in May of 2009. Bob has been a piper for over 25 years and his favorite memory is playing his pipes on the Scottish battlefield of Culloden in the Fall of 2007. | ||||||

| Biography: Tim Kiely started playing the bagpipes in March of 2003. Since then he has enjoyed many hours of performing with the band as well as entertaining family and friends. His leadership skills and dedication led to his peers electing him as the bands President for the 2010 season. He is locally known as the resident piper at his family’s summer compound on Barters Island, Trevett, ME. | ||||||

| Biography: Vera Maheu started with the Dunlap Highland Band in the summer of 2008 after seeing the band in her home town parade. She knew absolutely nothing about bagpipes, but thought it would be fun to learn. She was also thrilled to learn that the band does indeed take French Canadian chicks (not one bit of Scottish ancestry here folks!). Vera currently serves as the DHB Secretary, and has been enjoying every minute of her time with the band. | ||||||

| Biography: Kip joined the band approximately 12 years ago. He has served as Vice President and President. He currently resides in the Belgrade Lakes Region after working 40 years in the paper industry. Kip is married with 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. His goal is to learn and play many Scottish and Irish tunes and have fun doing it. | ||||||

| Biography: Allan learned the pipes from his father when he was nine. After stints with the Portland (Oregon) Grays Boys Pipe Band, the Clan Macleay Pipe Band, and the Eugene (Oregon) Highlanders, he moved to Maine and took a 20 year break from piping before finding a band that reminded him of the good old days. | ||||||

| Biography: John Stirling joined the band in 1997 with no piping experience. Born in Scotland and raised in Scotland and the North of England he has always loved the pipes. In 1997 after finding the Band on the internet he took advantage of the free lessons and has never looked back. John served two terms as Band President and is currently the quarter master making sure uniforms are available to all band members and keeping a current supply inventory. | ||||||

| Biography: Dave West joined the band in 1998, served two terms as vice president and has been the Events Coordinator since 2009, as well as being the "Web Guy". Dave is looking forward to a fun and exciting 2011 season, as well as implementing some new features on the band website. In addition to to performing with the band Dave competes as a Grade 4 piper in the EUSPBA where he finished 70 out of 710 pipers in 2010. A season that was highlighted with a 2nd place finish in Piobaireachd at the New Hampshire Highland games at Loon Mountain. | ||||||

| Biography: In my former life I always enjoyed the pipes from the listener/spectator position. Having been a fan of the pipes most of my life, now in retirement I have the time to take up the instrument. I hope to become proficient and contribute to the band. I would be pleased if my grandchildren developed an interest in the pipes too. | ||||||
