St. Patrick's Day Parade
St. Patrick's Day marks the death of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland. The Dunlap Highland Band participates in the annual parade in Portland, Maine.

Members of the Dunlap Highland Band have been asked to perform at the Bonny Eagle High School graduation ceremony in Standish, Maine for the 2026 school year.

The Dunlap Highland Band is one of many bands that have been invited to perform at Fort Halifax in Winslow on the Kennebec river.
The Fort is a National Historic Landmark and home to the oldest block house in the United States. It was built in 1754 to protect English settlers against the French and their Native American allies during the French and Indian War.

This celebration commemorates Saint George, traditionally a Roman soldier who became a Christian martyr, known for the legendary tale of saving a princess by slaying a dragon that was terrorizing an English town.
In the 14th century he was established as the patron saint of England and particularly associated with knighthood and the Order of the Garter. The red cross of St. George on a white background is the national flag of England.
It is a day for celebrating English culture, history, and community spirit and the Dunlap Highland Band will be doing our part by performing with pipes and drums in their annual parade.
Tenant's Harbor, ME - July 18th, 2026
An annual summer celebration featuring a parade, street dance, food vendors and a beer tent. The Dunlap Highland Band will be there to perform a short, impromptu concert to honor the town.

A full day of celebration filled with food, music, games, and fun for the entire family. This year there will be solo pipers and pipe bands competing to win prizes and to preserve the fine arts of the Scottish musical traditions.
There are also Scottish dancers, Coos, a Clan Village representing several Highland/Lowland Scottish clans, athletic events, kilt making demonstrations, historic highlanders, the Portland Reavers will also be there !

Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta™
The 'Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta' was created in 2007 in Damariscotta, Maine and is run by community volunteers. The festival provides horticultural expertise and educational opportunities to gardeners of all ages and runs through the weekend. It's packed with fun events the entire family will enjoy, such as Pumpkinboat building, a Pumpkin Dessert Contest, the Pumpkin Parade (which the Dunlap Highland Band will be participating in!), the Pumpkin Derby, and much more!
