McCallum Bagpipes - Manufactures their bagpipes using CNC machining to get their blanks profiled, then hand-finished by skilled craftsmen. This is a quality instrument that is based on a Lawries bagpipe design but re-engineered for a deeper tone from the bass drone.
They offer both traditional African Blackwood as well as a line of affordable, but high quality, Acetyl (instrument-grade poly plastic) bagpipes that are great for youth pipers, or inclement/cold/wet weather when something more resilient than wood is needed.
They also have a line of Uillean pipes from Fred Morrison and manufactures several versions of small pipes. MacRae bagpipes are also manufactured by them, copied from a unique, original MacRae design.
R.G. Hardie Bagpipes - This company was founded in 1950 and have a long running reputation for quality and ingenuity. They are the maker of the popular 'twist trap' practice chanter with their built-in moisture trap, and have a line of finely carved African Blackwood bagpipes in their Peter Henderson Bagpipe set, part of their Celtic Heritage line.
They also make an interesting 'practice pipes' suitable for beginners looking for a middle ground between the practice chanter and the Great Highland Bagpipes, giving the ability to practice bag work on an easier to play and control practice chanter set up.

Dunbar Bagpipes - Established in 1967 by Jack Dunbar in Canada. Jack had apprenticed with Henderson bagpipes in Scotland in the 1930's and his sets are based on those designs, renowned for their larger drone bores and big sound. He is also one of the pioneers and originators of the polypenco-instrument grade plastic-bagpipes and they have been played around the world. Also offers refurbishing, repairs, and upgrades to any set of bagpipes, not just what Dunbar makes.
David Nail & Co. Bagpipes - Long beloved by soloists and those looking for a refined bagpipe sound, this company started in 1976. Nail manufactures a line of bagpipes as well as some pretty well-known, world renowned chanters suitable for both competitive bands and the discerning soloist.
C.E. Kron - This company has been making bagpipes since 1987. They offer sets in traditional African Blackwood with custom options, and in Cocus wood as well.
Kintail Bagpipes - Makers of Kintail, David Glen & Sons, and J & R Glen bagpipes. Known for making fine-quality instruments with a refined sound.
MacLellan Bagpipes - This company began in 1988 and is known for its meticulous care to detail and craftsmanship. They manufacture in small batches, by hand, all of their bagpipes and strive to make a high quality instrument worthy to be passed down through the generations.
Colin Kyo Bagpipes - Murray Huggins is a maker of hand-made, fine custom bagpipes. He primarily works with African Blackwood, but there are older sets of his that were manufactured from recycled African Blackwood dust mixed with an epoxy and finished on a lathe just as traditional wood pipes are made. Nowadays, he uses resin ivory and sterling silver mounts, does custom engraving, and offers full Great Highland Bagpipe sets, smallpipes, and chanters.
Gibson Bagpipes - Manufactured in New Hampshire, USA and started in 1978 by Jerry Gibson. They make sets of Great Highland Bagpipes, smallpipes, Ceilidh pipes, practice chanters, and offer their own style of practice chanter reed.
THE PIPER'S DOJO - Andrew Douglas runs the Dojo University, a self-paced, online-based learning website that offers several in-depth courses from the very beginning of learning on the practice chanter, to reading music, learning how to tune, and transitioning to the full set of bagpipes. They also offer several live classes on many topics for the absolute beginners looking to get started to more advanced players looking to polish their embellishment technique.

BOB DUNSIRE FORUMS - Bob Dunsire launched the Forums in 2001 in an effort bring together the piping and drumming communites. MATT WILLIS BAGPIPER - An extremely useful resource. Matt Willis makes several videos to help the beginner and intermediate piper improve their piping techniques and skills. He also offers private online tutoring and has a Patreon site on which he publishes even more bagpipe content on.
ANDREW LENZ'S BAGPIPE JOURNEY - The site is old but still has lots of good information contained within. There are many piping resources from tutorials on bagpipe parts, reeds, and even a downloadable .pdf 'inches of water' scale to print out and use in conjunction with a home-made water manometer.
Bagpipe News - Operated by The National Piping Centre and is a news outlet for everything piping related. Lots of bagpipe related tips, advice, reviews, and news about current events in the piping world.
Piping Press was launched in 2014 and is a free, independent, not for profit web magazine with news, views, features and information from the piping and pipe band worlds.

RHYTHM MONSTER - A comprehensive drumming learning resource that has several drumming styles to choose from. Of course, you'll be wanting to select Scottish Pipe Band drumming when playing with Scottish style musicians, such as the Dunlap Highland Band. They have a Free Membership option that allows you to view all the courses they have to offer with a selection of full-access options for trying out a few. For premium access to all of their content it's $159 a year or $25 a month.
SIMON GRANT PIPE BAND DRUMMING - Scottish Pipe Band Drumming Exercises, Drum Scores, Drumming Qualifications, Tutorials, Lessons and everything in between. Most of his exercise and drum score videos have music on the screen and are based on lessons and will teach you how to play. All SQA qualification levels have dedicated playlists for each level and a booklet which can be sent by request.
SCOTTISH DRUM LESSONS - The YouTube channel of Ed Best, the head drumming instructor at The Piper's Dojo. He has lots of free lesson materials on his channel that are invaluable to the beginning and intermediate Scottish snare drum player.
PIPE BAND DRUMMER - "Upon returning to pipe bands in 2011, I realized that large gaps existed in the educational materials available to aspiring pipe band drummers.
